I have attended a few of the December instruction week after recommendation from another club member who felt that instruction week would help iron out some very bad skiing habits I had developed over the years.
I had mixed feeling regarding the expense, time of year, it being early in the season, will there be sufficient snow, however most importantly what will the ski instruction sessions be like. Will the instructor meet my expectations, and will my skiing improve by the end of the week.
TDC have been involved with the club for several years, personally apart from one year I have found extremely good in respect for value for money, and most importantly have met my expectations and if I am bold enough to say improved my skiing to no end.
I have alongside a few of the December holidays gone on to booking a few private essons whilst on other club holidays. Although they have been very good, they have come with a price, and often potluck I choose the right instructor for myself, and whoever is joining me.
Comparing the value for money in terms of tuition, I would say TDC is better value, purely because it is calculated into the cost of the holiday, on the whole superb accommodation thrown in, you get to have 3 hours of tuition for five mornings, although if the weather is bad, afternoon is an option.
The few ski schools I have used in the past, all bookable online with options of choosing instructor and what time suits you. My recommendation would be to book at least 8 weeks before departure and pay an insurance in case you need to cancel for any reason.
