Ski Club of Manchester Trip to Arc 1800, January 2025

I have only been on two ski-club trips so far, my first being Zell Am See last year. But Les Arcs was definitely my favourite of the two.

The resort was perfect for the Club’s needs. A sprawling expanse of varied pistes, and a hotel with a large social area for discussing the days accomplishments among friends (and very importantly a free bar).

I think my favourite moment of the trip was on the third day, sat outside one of the bars on the slopes near Arc 1600. The view down the valley was breathtaking.

As is the same every year, it was the people that made the trip so great. People with such varied backgrounds, but with a common interest. With 50 people attending it’s impossible to run out of people to talk to.

I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone again and skiing with some new people in La Tania in March
