End of Season Party - Saturday May 7th 2022

Gawsworth! but that’s miles away, someone exclaimed. However after a slow up-take, twenty three of us gathered for the end of season party on a pleasant evening on the 7th May at Val & John Poole’s house. Their open plan kitchen and dining area accommodated us all and the lovely garden dealt with the overflow.

Jane Fairclough coordinated the food contributions which ensured a sumptuous evenly balanced spread.

But Ruby stole the show as she nestled on my lap during the evening. Who’s Ruby? you may ask. Well, she’s an adorable Cockapoo puppy. I couldn’t let her go could I?

There was much news to exchange, as it’s been ages since we all had chance for a get together and a catch up.

A big thank you Val and John, for opening up your house to us all, it was a most enjoyable evening.
