As the August Committee meeting was the last before the AGM this featured significantly on the agenda. The clubs’ constitution does need a bit of tidying up, and a few revisions to reflect reality, so we will be proposing a few changes which will be put to the vote on Friday 13 October.
As the Committee’s full complement is 14 members, and we currently have only 12, we will be inviting nominations, so if you’ve ever contemplated joining the Committee, or might be tempted, this may be your chance. Nominations will be invited in the AGM notification, but now’s the time to start thinking about it.
We also discussed the social calendar. While holidays continue to be popular, non-skiing events in the rest of the year have not always proved as big a draw as they once were. We are keen to ensure that there is a continuing programme of events which appeal to club members. We will ask for suggestions at the AGM, but please start thinking now. The club has such a diverse membership with a wide range of interests that we feel that there must be all sorts of opportunities to try new things.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the AGM.
