I think I've just attended the shortest SCoM committee meeting ever. Covering the whole agenda in just two hours is a record (but not one we can't try to beat)! Topics covered included:
- Low season deal on beginners' courses (posted to the Yahoo! group by Alan Brown last month). Look out for a reminder from Ian Harford and get your non-skiing friends to give it a try.
- Adopting codes of practise for officials/volunteers, parents/carers, junior members and an Equity Policy (nothing controversial, see snowmark).
- Production of a full year programme to be mailed out this season with the membership cards in November. It came out last in January and has been much appreciated.
- Finalising the winter programme including finding a replacement (or two) for John Weatherell at the Chill Factore when he becomes a "ski bum" later in the season.
Finally, there’s a plea from the events/activities organisers, who put a lot of time into arranging the practical details. Please try to let them know well in advance if you'll be attending. It's better for their nerves and more likely that the event will run!
