Review of The Christmas Meal At Loch Fyne Restaurant, Didsbury

Reporter: John Weatherell

Over thirty of us gathered on a wet evening at the restaurant in anticipation of a cheery meal together. We were not to be disappointed! The party was made up of members and a few visitors. There were several faces we had not seen for a while so we enjoyed catching up on news.

We started with a complimentary drink or should I say drinks because they just kept coming. We were then seated all together on a T shaped table arrangement which made it possible to speak to many different people.

We had all pre-booked the meal so it was fun to find out what we had ordered - our memories are not what they used to be! The food and the service were excellent. Also although one drink was included in the fixed price, as with the pre-dinner drinks, they just kept coming.

I looked at the standard menu which is extensive and I can highly recommend a personal visit to the restaurant.

The evening passed amazingly quickly. It didn't seem long before we were all venturing back to our cars.

Our thanks go to Jane Fairclough who organised the meal and to Ian Harford who selected the restaurant.
