Thanks To Derek Draper Who Hosted The End of Season Party On Saturday 17 May 2008

Derek entertained 25 guests at his end of season party, providing not just the venue but an excellent curry with starter and dessert. All the food was hoovered up apart from a little that was handed out in doggy boxes at the end of the evening.

The evening was free but guests were asked to donate to a charity of Derek's choice which was the Rainbow Trust. This charity provides care to very sick children some of whom are terminally ill. It is good to think that by enjoying a sociable evening we were helping some very needy families. The donations, grossed up by Gift Aid, totalled £325. The Rainbow Family Trust and Derek are duly grateful for the support from the club members.

Derek says "he trusts that his modest effort this year may inspire someone else to make the effort in the years to come". Those who attended were very impressed by his calm approach to organizing the party.
