Ski Club of Manchester, Peak District Four Edges Walk

PARKING: Hay Wood NT car park, OS grid ref: SK255776 on Sheffield to Calver A 625.
Meet at 10am for a 10.30 start.
ROUTE: Mainly bridleways over moorland, several long gentle ascents and descents, some rough narrow paths. Wonderful views.
From car park set off to ascend Froggat edge following the ridge onto Curbar Edge and then Baslow Edge. We walk across the Hope valley before a long climb up onto White Edge until the Trig point. From here we follow the ridge until we meet the path down to the Grouse Inn and then back to the car park.
Distance 9m/14k ascent 250m time 5 – 6 hours.
Requires reasonable level of fitness and suitable dress for a day in the hills.
We’ve only done this walk in good weather so we must our luck holds.
